Abrasive disc PS 61 FK – ease of use thanks to hook and loop fastening

The abrasive disc PS 61 FK by Klingspor is characterised by its exceptional ease of use. Available in diameters of 125 mm and 150 mm, this round abrasive disc is self-fastening. It can easily be affixed onto self fastening backing pad allowing quick easy changing. The abrasive discs are a good option for use in combination with

  • handheld random orbital sanders,
  • floor and surface sanders as well as
  • angle grinders.

One of the most striking features of these discs is their consistently aggressive abrasive performance, which makes them an excellent option for use on surfaces made of stainless steel. Manufactured primarily for sanding on steel and stainless steel, this abrasive disc delivers equally excellent results when used for repairs on parquet floors.

Ceramic aluminium oxide – self-sharpening grain and aggressive abrasive performance

The Klingspor abrasive disc PS 61 FK is coated with ceramic aluminium oxide grain. The material is remarkably stable and resistant to pressure. These unique properties microcrystalline structure ensure aggressive abrasive performance with a long service life. Ceramic Corundum is produced in a special melting process at high temperatures. As the grain wears, it fractures and produces new, sharp edges. This extraordinary feature makes the material ideal for work on such tough and hard materials as stainless steel. What is more, its close coating allows abrasive disc PS 61 FK to give a high removal rate.

Abrasive disc PS 61 FK with synthetic resin bond

A backing made of F-weight paper, a heavy paper of outstanding stability, forms the basis of the abrasive discs engineered by Klingspor. The distinct advantage paper backings have over other products is that they can be easily cut to size, allowing the user to adjust them to the size of their individual sander. If necessary, the user can also reduce the abrasive disc to smaller pieces and use them for hand sanding in hard-to-reach places. The ceramic aluminium oxide applied to the abrasive discs PS 61 FK is coated and affixed with a synthetic resin bond. The strong adhesive power of the synthetic resin, the grains are firmly and securely bonded to the backing, contributing to a long service life of the abrasive.
